Boys Tennis:

4/30

The boy’s tennis dual match against Danville High School was postponed due to rain. It has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 9th.

 

Girls Soccer:

4/30

The girls’ soccer game against Bloomington Central Catholic High School was canceled due to weather.

 

5/2

On Thursday, the Illineks faced off in an away match against the Cardinals of Warrensburg-Latham in Maroa, Illinois. The teams tied with 1 goal apiece. Mayahuel Malik scored the sole goal for the Illineks and was assisted by Nicole Southey.

 

The team is sitting on a 7-5-1 record and is the sixth seed in their regional tournament. They will be playing the third-seeded Pana on Wednesday at Warrensburg-Latham. 

 

Boys Track:  

4/30 (Twin City Meet)

 

The boys’ track team finished with a disappointing result against top teams in the area. Aryan Lalwani took home a first-place finish in the 1600 meter and Henry Kraatz also finished with a victory in the 3200-meter run.  

 

5/2 (Paxton-Buckley-Loda Meet)

 

The boys meet at PBL was canceled due to weather conditions. It will not be rescheduled.

 

Girls Track:

 

5/3 (St. Joseph-Ogden Lady Spartan Classic)

 

The girls’ track team took home a fourth-place finish out of 15 teams at the St. Joseph girls track meet. Only Erin Smith won her individual event in the 3200-meter run but the entire team had solid outings all around in a very competitive field.
